The formation of such birthmarks on the human body is more characteristic of childhood, but they have also been observed repeatedly in adults.

Conventional birthmarks are the accumulation of a large amount of pigment under the influence of melanin. Depending on the amount of pigment, there are pronounced moles and slightly pigmented. Most of them are benign and do not pose any threat to human health. But there are species that eventually degenerate into malignant formations, which is a signal of dangerous diseases.

Red dots on the body, like moles, are angiomas, that is, nodules consisting of overgrown vessels. They can be small, and take up a lot of space on the body, or vice versa - large, but located in single variations on the face, chest or stomach. Red moles on the body: the causes of the appearance of

In general, red moles( angiomas) are benign neoplasms, which have a characteristic feature - when pushed, they return, then to the previous color. They can be located on completely different layers of the skin. It is possible to form on the arterial, venous or even capillary site.

The causes of this pathology are not known exactly. The main thing that doctors say - these little red moles on the body do not pose any danger to life and health. Such small moles can appear on the body anywhere and at anyone, but most often they are found in children. Because their body grows, and the circulatory system intensively develops and undergoes significant changes.

It is believed that the cause of the appearance of red moles on the body of an adult can be the hormonal changes that occur in the body. The hereditary factor is not excluded, it is also possible that the appearance of such points is affected by excessive exposure to the sun, too intense activity of blood vessels or diseases of the stomach and intestines.

In any case, when a red dot appears similar to a birthmark - it is necessary to visit the doctor for preventive purposes to make sure that this is not a signal of dangerous diseases.

The main problem is the increase in moles in size, although worry and panic is also not worth it. In the course of rapid growth, these benign tumors can reach 1.5 cm or more. Most often in this case, they apply a method of treatment, consisting in surgical removal.

Kinds of moles

These neoplasms are divided into several varieties. Between themselves, they differ due to the occurrence and the specific location in the layers of the skin.

Basic classification:

  • on the composition of the fabric - branched, flat, knotty, pineal, arachnid;
  • in form - spot, wreath of capillaries;
  • by quantity of - simple angioma( one) and cavernous( several closely located);
  • for external symptoms - stellate, cavernous, point, capillary;
  • on the color of - from pale pink to burgundy with a bluish tinge;
  • on structure - flat, which do not rise above an integument, and convex with an obvious elevation;
  • for the localization of - on the hand, body, face;
  • by the type of vessels - arterial, venous and capillary.

If several moles are localized close together in the form of several consecutive benign tumors, experts say cavernous or cavernous angioma.

Red moles - a signal of dangerous diseases?

In general, red moles on the human body are not dangerous and pass on their own without any interference. In most cases, experts believe that episodic observation of them is quite enough. If the birthmark does not interfere, does not increase in size and does not bother its owner in any way, it does not have a negative effect on the human body and is completely harmless.

There is another side to the coin. The main problem of these moles is their ability to degenerate into skin cancer. If the angioma was originally red, and then it began to darken, blush, etc. - this is a signal about a possible malignant degeneration.

In addition, with accidental dissection of angiomas, severe bleeding may occur. This bleeding is dangerous. Therefore, if you accidentally damaged the birthmark, and it began to bleed, you must impose a sterile bandage and immediately consult a doctor. In most cases, these phenomena subsequently stimulate the growth of angiomas.

Treatment or removal of red moles

Traditional medicine, of course, offers its methods of getting rid of a defect. But this case - not too successful for experiments - with moles, even benign.

In most cases, specialists do not prescribe any special treatment for small red moles, as they pass by themselves. If the birthmark is not prone to rubbing clothes and does not increase in size, it is also better not to remove it. Change in color or size is an occasion for urgent medical attention.

The most common type of treatment is laser surgery, but there are other methods. The peculiarity of burning angioma by a CO2 laser is the evaporation of the tissue of the neoplasm and sealing the vessels leading to it. It should be noted that flat formations can be treated much more easily than convex ones.

Other disposal methods:

  • by surgery;
  • by cryodestruction;
  • using a laser;
  • by electrocoagulation;
  • by radiosurgical method.

Each method has its own indications or contraindications, so it is necessary to have an examination before the treatment, including the presence of cancer cells. After removing the red mole, it is recommended to refrain from visiting the solarium and a long stay in the sun for at least one month. Therefore, the removal is recommended in the autumn-winter season, when solar activity is minimal.
