1 How to recognize
disease The severity of symptoms depends on how quickly the inflammation of the inner ear spreads. The course of the labyrinthitis, the symptoms of internal inflammation also depend on the place of concentration of the inflammatory process.

At the initial stage of the disease, nausea, hearing impairment, the appearance of tinnitus, an equilibrium disorder that occurs both at rest and during movement are noted.
The most symptomatic is when:
- a certain position of the head;
- sharp its bends;
- certain actions carried out in the ear.
The acute labyrinth is characterized by dizziness, which can last as a few seconds, and several hours. If a person has a chronic form of the disease, then this symptom occurs mainly in the form of seizures. In such cases, the head is spinning for several days.
With a labyrinth, dizziness acquires system traits, namely, a feeling of spinning of objects that are near a person, around the patient or a feeling of rotation of the sufferer itself.
An objective symptom of the development of the inflammatory process in the inner ear is involuntary, with high frequency, vibrational movements of the eyeballs - nystagmus. When the inflammation progresses, the functions of the affected labyrinth begin to be suppressed. At a certain time, nystagmus becomes destructive, changes the direction - impulses from the healthy ear dominate. For a purulent labyrinthitis, an increase in body temperature is characteristic.
2 How to cure the pathology of
Depending on the severity of the labyrinthitis, conservative treatment is carried out, which consists of:
- bed rest;
- dehydration therapy;
- surgical intervention.
Internal otitis can not be cured without antibiotic therapy. Once the "labyrinthite" is diagnosed, and the type of pathogen that caused the inflammatory process in the ear is not clear, a person should take antibiotics of a broad spectrum of action. These include drugs that affect the greatest number of possible pathogens.
The attending physician prescribes medicines that have the following actions:
- antibacterial;
- antiviral;
- hormonal.
The structure of dehydration therapy includes:
- the use of glucocorticoids and drugs that have a diuretic effect;
- introduction of hypertonic solutions;
- compliance with the diet.
The diet provides for a decrease in salt intake, its amount per day should not be more than 0.5 g, liquid - 1 liter.
If the labyrinthite is accompanied by severe dizziness, with the presence of nausea and vomiting, then prescription drugs that have an antiemetic and anti-inflammatory effect. Also prescribe sedatives that do not cause drowsiness.
The disappearance of signs of the disease occurs gradually. This takes one or several weeks. Indication for surgical intervention is the presence of inflammatory foci of purulent nature that arise in the cavity of the inner and middle ear. Also, such treatment is necessary in the case when there are intracranial complications.
