Ursosan with gastritis

When a patient develops an inflammatory pathology such as biliary reflux gastritis, his condition is aggravated by the fact that, due to the inconsistency of the gastric sphincter, the intestinal masses are thrown into the main digestive organ along with the bile.

This is a fairly severe disease, accompanied by very unpleasant symptoms. To facilitate the development of a person's condition, Ursosan is mandatory for him.

Pharmacological action of Ursosana

The action of the drug is aimed at the normalization of the gallbladder and its ducts. It also helps neutralize bile acids, which have a significant damaging effect on the gastric mucosa. Especially it is noticeable in the case when gastritis secretion of the digestive organ increases.

Ursosan is the most modern of the complex drugs that are used in modern medicine to treat this type of disease. Its effectiveness is enhanced by the fact that in addition to the presence of ursodeoxycholic acid, necessary for the neutralization of the bile, it also contains a prebiotic lactulose. Thanks to this substance, the symptoms of this form of gastritis are transferred much easier.

The action of lactulose in diseases of the digestive tract is to normalize the intestinal microflora. The presence of this prebiotic is undoubtedly a plus of Ursosan, since reflux gastritis is often accompanied by a dysbacteriosis, and lactulose promotes the restoration of impaired intestinal microflora.

Contraindications to the use of Ursosana for gastritis

The drug and its analogs are not recommended for treatment of biliary reflux gastritis in certain cases. Among them are the following cases:

  • It is not necessary to use it for the treatment of children under 4 years, because of the size of the capsules of this drug, it is difficult for them to swallow;
  • Contraindications are also X-ray positive gallstones, which have a high enough calcium content;
  • The gallbladder does not function;
  • Presence in the digestive organs of the bile-gastrointestinal fistula;
  • In a patient's medical history, there are such diseases as acute cholangitis or cholecystitis;
  • Diagnosed cirrhosis of the liver, which is in the decompensation stage;
  • Liver or kidney failure.

In addition, the use of Ursosan in gastritis is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to the components included in the preparation and individual intolerance.
