Pharmacodynamics

Due to the antibiotic ofloxacin, the ointment has an antimicrobial effect. The hydrophilic base allows the preparation to quickly absorb, penetrate into the deep layers of the skin, distributing the medication evenly over the entire thickness of the skin on the affected area.

The action of ofloxacin is based on the suppression of DNA replication of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Antimicrobial activity of the antibiotic extends to asporogenous, anaerobic, hospital bacterial strains that are resistant to many other types of antibacterial agents.

Lidocaine anesthetizes, eliminates partial swelling and inflammation, dries the wound. The analgesic effect of lidocaine is based on its ability to block the sodium channels of cell membranes, to prevent the conduction of a nerve signal.

Pharmacokinetics

Skin prevents the penetration of the components of the drug into the total blood flow, provided that the integrity of the skin is preserved. If the drug is applied to an open wound, up to 3% of the mass of the applied drug penetrates the systemic bloodstream.
