Pancreatitis is a serious ailment, the development of which is accompanied by acute pains, fever, changes in heart rate, vomiting and other equally complex symptoms. With particularly severe forms of the disease, there may be confusion, delirium and even hallucinations. It should be noted that with no other diseases and ailments of the digestive organs, the clouding of the mind is not observed.
However, it is not necessary that all the above symptoms are present in the development of pancreatitis. Disease can manifest itself in various forms, among which it is customary to isolate mild, painful and severe.
With a mild form of pancreatitis, a morbid condition in the pancreas region is usually observed. Often there is vomiting and nausea. It happens that the pain is given in the back or "girdles" the whole body. Another symptom of a mild form of pancreatitis is a swollen abdomen, but it is soft and not too painful. It should also pay attention to the characteristic pallor of the skin and rapid pulse, usually accompanied by a decrease in blood pressure.
Painful form of pancreatitis indicates a severe stage of the disease. In this case, pain acts as its main indicator. Its cause is the process of decomposition of the gland tissues, or rather their death under the influence of digestive enzymes. The deeper this process went, the sharper and stronger the pain.
As a rule, in a state of moderate severity, there is acute soreness in the gland, bloating, swelling, nausea and vomiting. Ill people tend to take a knee-elbow position, in which the pain becomes slightly easier to bear.
Severe form of pancreatitis is accompanied by acute pain, the intensity of which, even under the influence of strong pain medications, decreases only for a short time. At the same time, the pressure decreases, the body temperature rises, and the pulse rate increases to one hundred and twenty beats per minute. The patient's breathing is disturbed, wet wheezing can be heard in the lungs.
A severe condition can develop so rapidly that a sick person does not even have time to seek medical help. Most often, this happens to young men who take alcohol and eat it with fatty and abundant food.
