To date, the diagnosis of enterocolitis can be observed very often not only in the older generation, but also in the younger generation, in particular in newborns and children in the first year of life. Predominantly the initial causes of the disease appear at the time of introduction of complementary foods. The most common cause of enterocolitis in infants is intolerance to lactose, gluten and to some other food proteins.
In the older generation, enterocolitis will predominantly be diagnosed as a chronic type, and in a neglected state, and this can be characterized by a large number of morphological changes in the thick and thin intestinal mucosa.
The most common causes of enterocolitis
The most common causes of enterocolitis are:
- Systematic disorders of diet and diet. The disease is more susceptible to those people who prefer eating fast food, eating a dry food, and at the same time eating a large number of products.
- Lack of clean water for drinking, required in order to clean the intestinal walls and begin repairing its mucous membrane.
- Habits in eating food. This can include addiction to the salty and spicy cuisine, which form inflammatory processes, irritation and dryness in the mucosa.
- Regular consumption of alcohol, in particular, beer, various kinds of cocktails and energy drinks is also the cause of enterocolitis.
- Too much tea, coffee and various carbonated drinks.
- Presence of a dysbacteriosis in the chronic form at prevalence of pathogenic and conditionally-pathogenic status of microflora.
- Uncontrolled use of some medications. In a special category of danger are antibiotics, hormonal drugs and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory tablets that have analgesic properties.
- Presence of biliary dyskinesia, chronic cholecystitis, duodenitis, pancreatitis, which has enzymatic deficiency.
- Not completely cured intestinal infection and presence of pathogenic state of microflora.
- Surgical operations on the peritoneal cavity.
Less common are such causes of enterocolitis as: stress, a large amount of work, increased nervous excitability, suspiciousness. Hereditary predispositions to the development of inflammation in the thick and small intestinal cavity are also not excluded.
