Treatment of erosive sigmoiditis will be determined by the length of the inflammatory process, its severity, the presence of a local or systemic type of complication, the causes of the onset. Conservative therapeutic measures are aimed at the fact that the most rapid suppression of an attack, prevent the recurrence of the disease and the progression of inflammatory processes.
All medications used against ulcer sigmoiditis are conventionally divided into several groups: basic and additional. The main groups of agents have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial effects, and also help the intestinal microflora to fully recover. Additional funds are used in erosive sigmoiditis in the form of auxiliary drugs, and help to increase the effectiveness of the main treatment effects.
As the main treatment for erosive sigmoiditis are drugs such as:
- Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, which are aimed at getting rid of ulcers caused by an irritant reaction.
- Painkillers, helping to stop painful sensations.
- Vitamin, delivering into the body a sufficient amount of useful substances.
- Immunomodulators that help maintain immunity.
- Antidisbacteriosis, preventing the appearance of this disease.
In case of drug treatment of peptic ulcer, hormonal and psychotropic drugs can also be prescribed.
Compliance with the diet for erosive sigmoiditis
Food includes products that have a large number of proteins, vitamins, while they have minimal fat and carbohydrate content. It is also unacceptable that the product contains coarse fiber. When erosive sigmoiditis is recommended the use of low-fat varieties of fish and meat, which are cooked in a boiled and steam way. All food should be wiped. From the diet, vegetables and fruits are completely excluded in the fresh form, since they have the peculiarity of causing diarrhea. Milk with ulcer sigmoid should be completely ruled out, but sour-milk products will do just fine.
Food should have astringent and enveloping properties, for example, boiled rice. This is necessary in order to help the passage of contents through the intestines, without causing any special concern. Food with erosive sigmoiditis should be taken about six times a day in small portions.
