Bulbite is the inflammation of the bulb of the duodenum, connecting it with the stomach and opening into the duct of the gallbladder and pancreas. Most often, the disease is associated with antral gastritis, which extends to the intestine.
For species, the bulb is divided into:
- superficial;
- erosive.
In its course, the malaise can be acute, chronic and catarrhal.
Causes of antral gastritis of bulbite
The causes of bulbitis are quite diverse. It can be an antral gastritis, inaccuracies in the diet( excessive passion for fatty, sweet, salty foods, preservation and fast food), poisoning, injuries and defects in the surface of the gastrointestinal tract, lambia, worms and Crohn's disease. There is a hereditary predisposition.
Most often the appearance of bulbitis and gastritis causes the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, which, provoking inflammation of the antral part of the stomach and adjacent areas of the intestine, increases acidity in the bulb of the duodenum. This is due to casting into it the acidic contents of the stomach.
The cause of the disease can be even non-compliance with the rules of basic hygiene.
Symptoms of antral gastritis bulbitis
In acute disease, which most often occurs after severe food or alcohol poisoning, as well as drug overdoses, severe cramping pains can occur, accompanied by nausea and often vomiting.
Usually, pain occurs 1.5-2 hours after eating, it is felt under the spoon, sometimes gives to the navel and right hypochondrium.
In the mouth, bitterness can be felt, and bile is present in the emetic contents. The condition is often accompanied by a headache. With long breaks between eating, there is severe hunger, shivering, weakness and sweating.
Bulbite Therapy In case of an acute attack of bulbitis and antral gastritis, antacids and pain medications should be taken immediately. Usually Almagel, Maalox, No-shpa, Baralgin and the like are appointed.
In the early days of the disease, fasting and gastric lavage are often prescribed. In stationary conditions, drippers with a physiological solution can be used to purify blood from toxic substances. Then, a diet is chosen, which differs little from nutrition with antral gastritis.
For chronic and catarrhal forms of bulbitis, antibacterial therapy is used. In addition, you need a long time to adhere to dietary nutrition, completely give up alcohol and smoking, to avoid stress. Sometimes the use of sedatives is indicated.
At the first signs of the disease should consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and selection of complex treatment.
