- In the diet, fractionality should be used: it should be fairly frequent( at least 6 times), but servings should be kept at a minimum;
- Food should be at room temperature when consumed. Too cold or hot dishes should be avoided, as this causes thermal damage to the mucosa.
In addition, with any form of colitis, you should avoid adding any spices and spices to your food, and the dishes are preferred to have a liquid, viscous and puree consistency, since they have the ability to envelop the injured organ, making it easier to work with. Dietitians for daily use are recommended porridge, mucous soups and broths.

- Mucous. They must be eaten in case of exacerbation of the disease, since they have the greatest enveloping capacity;
- Puree( mashed).Their use for patients with colitis lies in the fact that in addition to enveloping properties, these dishes are a decoction of various useful substances contained in the ingredients that make up their composition. They are very good not only in the inflammatory process in the digestive system, but also after a surgical intervention on the intestine or stomach.
In dietary nutrition, soups in colitis play a huge role due to the content in them of a large number of microelements, minerals, and a very wide vitamin range. Thanks to this, these dishes very well stimulate the production of intestinal and gastric juices, which helps to improve the digestion process.
