Diseases of the stomach are diverse in their forms and manifestations. But they all have something in common with each other. However, there are those that are potentially dangerous to human life, being a kind of time bomb. These include nodular( hyperplastic) gastritis.
This form of the disease should be understood as a chronic inflammatory process that occurs in the mucous membrane of the stomach. It is characterized by its pathological proliferation with a propensity to develop such new growths as cysts and polyps. These processes affect the production of hydrochloric acid, the amount of which is markedly reduced. But significantly increases the production of mucus.
A person suffering from nodular gastritis is at risk of developing an oncological process in the stomach, since increased growth of the mucosa, which is not controlled, is not treated, but stimulated by emotional outbursts, can be transformed into a malignant neoplasm.
The type of hyperplastic gastritis is determined by the nature of degeneration of the gastric mucosa, the type of neoplasms. Based on these signs, it happens:
- polyposis;
- warty;
- grainy;
- giant hypertrophic.
If we talk about the location of the process of growth of the mucosa, then allocate diffuse or limited nodular gastritis.
Nodular gastritis: causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment
It is impossible to name the group of causes unequivocally. This process has not been fully studied yet. But there are a number of factors that contribute to the emergence of this form of the disease: heredity, unbalanced and irregular nutrition, infatuation with strict diets, allergic reactions, vitamin deficiency, failure in processing and assimilation of proteins, work with harmful production conditions, alcohol and nicotine addiction.
Often the disease is asymptomatic or expressed in collective symptoms from other forms of it. Typically, patients tend to complain about a number of manifestations: pain in the epigastric region, flatulence, stool disorder, alternating with constipation, belching with an unpleasant aftertaste, rapid satiety, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, severe weight loss. In the autumn-spring period, the disease can worsen.
The most informative method of investigation in this case will be FGDS, with the help of which it is possible to determine the degree of mucosal lesion, its nature, and the nature of possible neoplasms.
Therapy of nodular gastritis includes the use of drugs: antacids, antibiotics, antispasmodics, enterosorbents, proton pump inhibitors. In addition, the doctor appoints: diet food, physiotherapy procedures for the normalization of acidity, exercise therapy, intake of mineral waters.
With nodular gastritis one should be especially careful and attentive not to miss the moment of malignancy of the cells of the gastric mucosa.
