One of the most common reasons for the occurrence of such an unpleasant and troublesome disease, like erosive gastritis, is a small bacterium called Helicobacter pylori. Its colonies are localized in the antrum.
These organisms have a specific ability to survive in the acidic and sufficiently aggressive environment of the main digestive organ. In this case, the bacteria stimulate increased secretion of gastric juice, which leads to ulceration of the walls of the stomach and creates conditions for the occurrence of such a disease as erosive helicobacter pylori.
The disease that occurs in the background of this bacterium is dangerous because it can easily be transferred to its atrophic form. In this condition, cells that produce hydrochloric acid gradually become atrophied, and this, respectively, is accompanied by serious disturbances in the digestive process.
Symptoms of erosive gastritis helikobakter
This disease has 3 stages, it is initial, unfolded and the last. Symptoms of the first two are similar and are expressed in the following:
- Strong paroxysmal pains, corresponding to all forms of erosive gastritis, in the epigastric region. They appear about an hour after eating;
- Appetite, constantly changing from low to high;
- Frequent heartburn and belch with sour taste.
But in the last stage of Helicobacter pylori gastritis, when signs of atrophy in the mucous membrane are already beginning to show, the symptoms will be as follows:
- Indigestion accompanied by severe weight after eating in epigastrium;
- Blunt pains that are felt in the left hypochondrium region;
- Frequent diarrhea, the cause of which is the reduction of barrier functions performed by hydrochloric acid;
- Permanent dry mouth with a metallic taste, as well as frequent burping, for the most part giving off rotten;
- Feeling of nausea and vomiting.
From external signs of erosive gastritis Helicobacter, which is in the last stage, it is possible to distinguish the appearance of cracks in the corners of the mouth, the so-called jaedov and a significant loss of body weight due to impaired appetite.
The cause of this disease
This bacterium can live only in the acidic environment of the stomach, therefore the airway of infection is completely excluded. They can enter the body through saliva, which is possible when kissing or using a single dish. The risk group is always the close people of a sick person.
Once in the stomach, Helicobacter pylori begins to actively develop and multiply, poisoning the body and destroying not only the mucous, but often the tissues of the main digestive organ. And this leads to a disease such as erosive gastritis, and further it is likely the development of an ulcer or cancer of the stomach.
