Garlic and pancreas

How does garlic affect the pancreas in pancreatitis? The main function, which is performed by garlic, used in pancreatitis is a soothing effect on the pancreas. It also allows you to restore impaired pancreatic function, which often results from an acute form of the disease. Therefore, garlic in pancreatitis can be eaten as much as the body requires.

However, at the time of exacerbation of the disease, it is recommended to remove garlic for a while from the diet. There is such an effective way of treating pancreatitis, widely used by folk medicine: take 300 g of garlic and parsley and 1 kg of lemon, pass through a meat grinder, mix, keep in a refrigerator in a sealed container for two weeks and have one spoon in 15 minutesbefore meals. The effect of such a tool will intensify if it is drunk with a decoction of cowberry, blueberry or strawberry leaf, not more than 1/3 of the glass. Patients in whom there is an exacerbation of pancreatitis, this treatment is contraindicated.
