Stone fruits - tender and sweet, quenching thirst in the summer, contain a lot of useful substances. But to eat them during an acute attack of pancreatitis or some other diseases is necessary with caution.
Freshly harvested sweet cherry during pancreatitis during an exacerbation is prohibited. The berry is covered with a relatively dense peel, which can cause microscopic scratches on the inflamed mucous membrane of the stomach and pancreatic ducts. Untreated cooking berry includes in small doses fruit acids, which, most likely, will serve to strengthen, both the inflammatory process and pain.
But, starting from the fifth day after an exacerbation, it is possible to include in the diet of the patient dishes cooked using cherry. It can be:
- compotes;
- jellied;
- puddings;
- jelly;
- mousses.
During the remission period, you can enter in the patient's menu a non-cured cherry fruit. This can be explained as follows:
- fruit fructose, is present in them in microscopic doses, which will not worsen the condition of the pancreas;
- flesh of berries is soft and gentle and will not allow to worsen a condition of a recovering person;
- cherry includes a minimum of acids that are found in any fresh fruit and which can turn the healing process back.
Cherries in pancreatitis
The desire to eat ripe cherries during an exacerbation threatens to result in severe pain and a clear slowdown in the recovery process. The intake of cherries during pancreatitis during an exacerbation is completely unacceptable for the following reasons:
- This berry contains much more sugars than in cherries. This does not contribute to the improvement of the pancreas during an attack.
- It also contains a large amount of fruit acids, starting with lemon and ending with apple, which stimulates the production of enzymes - this is contraindicated in case of exacerbation.
- Fresh fruits will certainly increase the excessive gas formation, which is characterized by pancreatitis. In addition, the unstable operation of the pancreas, coupled with the intake of fresh fruits, can end with a bout of diarrhea, which in no way improves the patient's condition.
Fresh cherries can damage even during the remission of the disease and can cause a new attack. Take a fresh berries, people who have suffered pancreatitis, should be carefully and dosed. You can eat fresh fruits only after taking the main dish. Admission of berries to an empty stomach is strictly prohibited.
