Ultrasound with gastritis

Ultrasound with gastritis is considered the first stage for the passage of the diagnosis. It is this kind of examination that is considered preliminary, as it will allow to determine if there are any pathologies in order to conduct further examinations. In particular, in order that the FGD would pass without consequences.

As in any study, there are both positive and negative sides.

The undoubted, positive quality of using ultrasound with gastritis is the speed of the procedure. The whole procedure lasts about 5-6 minutes. During the study, the patient feels comfortable, as the procedure is carried out on the skin of the abdominal part.

Ultrasound is usually used if there are any suspicions of diseases hidden in the organs. For example, gastritis, ulcers and others.

An important advantage of ultrasound is that even at the stage of preliminary examination, you can find out some features of the gastrointestinal tract. The procedure allows you to determine the condition of the walls of the digestive tract;to find out whether there are structural changes in the ability of the system to push food;to consider the condition of the circulatory system, in particular the vessels. Afterwards it is very important for gastritis, especially if ultrasound revealed that the formation strongly influences the circulation of blood.

Also the procedure allows, due to the capabilities of the ultrasound machine, to view the smallest changes of the entire tract. Naturally, only modern devices have such capabilities. This is a very important property, since it is already possible, at the stage of the origin of gastritis, to find the epicenter and conduct the necessary procedures in a timely manner.

Of course, the procedure has a significant disadvantage. If the screen of ultrasound reveals a gastritis, then you will not be able to take a biopsy, because there is no direct contact with the gastrointestinal tract. And this means that you will have to repeat the procedures, but with the use of a gastroscope and a probe.

For the procedure, you need to prepare yourself. For this, you will not eat for a while. Also, gently exclude from your diet some foods one to two days before the appointed time. The list of exceptions should include: rye bread, fresh vegetables and fruits, legumes and others. This is done in order to avoid the formation of gases.

In addition to products, you will have to abandon tobacco products. They can adversely affect the results.

Because the procedure is painless and non-hazardous, it makes sense to go through it for preventive purposes. Prevention prevents the possibility of the formation of gastritis and other diseases.
