In the human body is fixed in the small intestine, where the worm can live for years( up to 20 years and more).You can get infected when using in rolls such fish as perch, pikeperch, representatives of the family of salmonids, etc.;
  2. Opisthorchiasis. Pathogens - hepatic trematode, or as they are called, the liver fluke( Siberian fluke).They affect the liver and bile ducts, as well as the gallbladder and pancreas. Infection occurs when using fish for cooking sushi, which belongs to the family of carp( roach, crucian carp, bream, rudd and other representatives);
  3. Clonorhoz. Called by the Chinese fluke. Initially, the disease is characterized by the presence of allergic manifestations. Later worms affect the hepatobiliary system( liver, pancreas and bile ducts).Infection occurs through the same fish in rolls, as in opisthorchiasis;
  4. Metagonome. The causative agent is the intestinal trematode. It affects the small intestine of a person, which in turn is characterized by dyspeptic manifestations. You can get infected if the land contains such a fish infected with worms, like trout, crucian carp and others;
  5. Nanophytaemia. It is caused by a worm from the group of nematodes( salmon flukes).Getting into the intestine, it affects its mucous membrane and causes disturbances on the part of the digestive system. You can get infected by using rolls with salmon fish.

The main group of symptoms of the presence of parasites of this type in the body include:

  • symptoms of intoxication - weakness, fever, loss of appetite, weight loss;
  • disorders of the gastrointestinal tract - diarrhea or constipation( or alternation), nausea, vomiting( single or recurring), abdominal pain, mainly in the navel, flatulence, enlarged liver or spleen, etc.;
  • disorders from the nervous system - general malaise, sleep disturbance, irritability, constant fatigue, headache, etc.;
  • allergic reactions - rashes and itching of the skin, there are manifestations of the type of bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis and so on.

These are the most common manifestations, but there may be others, since helminths can affect any organs.

Is it true that worms appear on the ground and how to avoid it?

The best way to prevent infection with worms through rolls and sushi is simply to delete from your diet such foods. But if you can not deny yourself such a dish, then you should follow the following recommendations:

  1. Do not forget about wasabi and ginger, which are served to rolls for a reason. All are accustomed to believe that these are seasonings that emphasize and reveal the taste of sushi. But very few people know that they have an antimicrobial effect and help protect the body from worms;
  2. There are different variants of rolls, which include not raw fish. There are also sushi with meat, vegetable and other fillings, although this is no longer an original dish;
  3. It is also safe to cook sushi at home, as in this case you will independently choose the fish and conduct its heat treatment, which will save it from helminths. Or it is possible to use smoked or slightly salted fish. This will sufficiently protect you against infection with worms.

Therefore, lovers of sushi should be careful with this dish. Eat them not more often than once or twice a week, otherwise unwanted guests may appear from your favorite rolls - worms.
