The inflammatory pathology of the epithelium of the stomach, which occurs with gastritis, can often be accompanied by hyperplasia of its mucosa. This kind of inflammatory disease of the digestive organ begins to develop after the uncontrolled growth of cells takes place in the gastric epithelium. Most often observed in the chronic form of this disease.
Hyperplasia of the gastric mucosa in gastritis can be of 2 types: polypoid and lymphofollicular.
The lymphofollicular type occurs when the cells that are in the follicular layer of the digestive organ grow. Development of it occurs mainly because of hormonal disorders occurring in the body, or incorrect secretory activity of the stomach.
In addition, it is established that gastritis with hyperplasia can occur under the action of carcinogens accumulated in the digestive organs, as well as products of tissue decay.
The polypoid type of such a pathology of the digestive organ develops mainly after a long and untreated Helicobacter infection.
Causes of gastritis with hyperplasia
Cell proliferation in the epithelial tissue of the digestive organ is usually due to the following reasons:
- Hormonal disorders occurring in the body;
- Hereditary predisposition;
- Presence in the body of bacteria Helicobacter;
- Action of any carcinogens;
- Gastrointestinal infections, the treatment of which has not been fully carried out;
- Initiated chronic inflammatory processes occurring in the stomach tissues.
All these causes lead to complication of chronic gastritis with hyperplasia, pathological proliferation of cells of its mucous membrane, which, in turn, promotes the formation of malignant tumors in the body of the stomach.
Symptoms of gastritis with hyperplasia of the mucosa
Quite often this pathology does not have initial obvious symptoms, which is very dangerous. After all, in this case, the patient does not even suspect that this terrible disease is progressing, which leads to the development of malignant tumors.
The manifestation of gastritis with hyperplasia occurs only with time and is expressed in the following symptoms:
- Severe painful spasms of permanent character;
- Disturbance of digestive processes, accompanied by a disorder of the stomach;
- General weakness of the body, accompanied by signs of anemia.
In no case should the examination be delayed by a gastroenterologist, especially when the pain begins to manifest at night, on an empty stomach. Also, with this form of the disease, no self-medication can be tolerated, since it is fraught with large negative consequences.
