Undifferentiated and mixed colitis

Undifferentiated colitis is a disease that combines the symptoms of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Often the exact boundary between these two diseases is difficult to conduct even the most experienced doctor. In this case, the treatment depends entirely on the sensitivity and response of the patient's body to a particular drug. Undifferentiated colitis is located on the entire mucosa of the intestine, unlike Crohn's disease. Until now, it is not clear whether there is undifferentiated colitis or it is only the lack of the ability to distinguish between 2 diseases. An undifferentiated type of inflammation is a lesion of the large intestine, which changes into a chronic phase and an unknown etiology.

Treatment is started after a number of procedures and studies. Endoscopic research will help to reject or confirm suspicions of such a disease. With the help of endoscopy it is also possible to determine the severity of the lesion, the degree of activity, to control the development of the disease and the effectiveness of the treatment.

The most commonly undifferentiated colitis affects people from 15 to 30 years old or from 60 to 80 years old. With a similar disease, it affects both the large intestine and the straight line. In this case, the possibility of a recurrent course, development of systemic and local complications is not ruled out. The disease in most cases becomes chronic. In this case, it is replaced by one phase to another( exacerbation and remission).

The doctors diagnose the diagnosis after anamnesis, laboratory tests, analysis of clinical manifestations of the disease, radiologic, morphological, sonographic, endoscopic and general clinical analysis.

Mixed colitis

Mixed colitis is one of several possible species that differ in the nature of morphological changes. The cause is an intestinal infection. If a person in the recent past has suffered a serious intestinal illness, then the probability of the appearance of pathology at times increases. Intestinal diseases leading to mixed colitis: dysentery, food poisoning and peretoxication, salmonellosis, eating disorders, worms and other parasites. In a mixed type, medicinal preparations of an anti-inflammatory nature, anesthetizing, restoring intestinal microflora, antidiarrheal and others are also used. The appointment is handled only by a qualified specialist.
